PLAYOFF RUN IN INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT FINALLY ENDS FOR PILOTS!

Tuesday, May 22^nd marked the beginning of identifying the true contenders for the L.A. C.I.F. CITY SECTION INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS in both singles & doubles.  In the doubles bracket, Banning’s only remaining representatives, #1 Doubles Jacob Loy & Fernando Moncloa, looked to close in on that title as one of the only 16 doubles tandems left in the entire city section, out of close to 200 doubles teams in the city.

Unfortunately, their effort fell short as they went down in a tough loss to one of the 2^nd –team all-city selections from Granada Hills.  Despite the loss, this was a great run for these two Pilots whose run included an undefeated regular season & reaching the round of 16 for only the 2^nd time in the past 10-15 years in Banning Tennis history.  Fortunately, both players are only Juniors and will definitely look forward to returning to the playoffs next year.
