Boys and Girls Tennis 2007 Watts Summer Games

PILOTS MAKE WAVES AT L.A.-WATTS SUMMER GAMES!

Re-cap of 1^st Weekend 6/9 & 6/10/07

Congratulations to the many Pilots tennis players, of both the boys and the girls teams, who advanced past the first round of the L.A.-Watts Summer Games at the Home Depot Center this past weekend. Facing players from all over L.A. County, Orange County, Pasadena & San Francisco, 6 boys and 6 girls advanced in doubles, while Fernando Moncloa was the only singles player to advance, playing superbly to reach the 3^rd round in a draw of 128 players.

Special recognition also goes out to Luis Moreno & Oliver Arreaga of the boys team, as well as Nancy Melgoza & Cinthya Monroy of the girls team, who are now on the verge of bringing home a pair of championships as they return to the Home Depot Center as quarter-finalists this upcoming weekend.

TRY-OUTS for the Girls Tennis Team begin today at 3:00. Again, try-outs for girls tennis begin today after school. See Mr. Castillo in room 122 for any questions.
