Re-cap of 4/23 Match vs. Gardena
Congratulations to
the Boys Tennis Team for their 6th 7-0 shut out of the year, over Gardena on Monday. The Pilots
now await the results of Tuesday’s Seeding Meeting, to see if the team’s final 7-4 overall record (6-3 League)
will be good enough to make the playoffs.
Special recognition goes out to # singles Juan Tafolla, and #1 doubles Jacob Loy & Fernando
Moncloa, who both produced 6-0, 6-0 shut-outs.
Meanwhile, #2 and #4 singles Fernando Ledesma & Octavio “Thabs” Ramirez both
fought back from fought hard & overcame 3rd-set deficits to preserve the team shutout.
Junior Varsity
In JV action, #1 JVs Gerry Mendoza & Hernan Suarez won
their match & got the JV squad back on track, as Justin Garcia teamed up with Ignacio Torres vs. a mixed-level Panthers
tandem, yet still won.
