Re-cap of 4/11/07 Match vs. San Pedro
Congratulations to
the Boys Tennis Team for yet another dominating victory over San Pedro, completing the season sweep for the first time in
10+ years. Not only did the Pilots win both contests this season, but the team also was a perfect 14-0
vs. the Pirates in individual matches, outscoring them by a combined 169 games to only 28.
Special recognition goes out to the entire
team for their pure dominance, but especially to #1 Singles Luis Moreno for another “dozen donuts” special.
#3 singles Juan Tafolla, and #1 doubles Jacob Loy & Fernando Moncloa each only allowed their opponents 1 game,
while Rosendo “JR.” Tolento, perhaps, played the best tennis of his 3-year career, in a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
Junior Varsity
In JV Action, the Pilots current 3-year, 44-game winning
streak continued as #1 JV doubles, Ignacio Torres & Gerardo Mendoza won, while #1 JV Singles, Gabriel Hernandez shut out
his opponent 8-0.
