Re-cap of 3/23 Match vs. Narbonne
Congratulations to the Boys Tennis Team
for a great effort in a very tight match Friday versus Narbonne. Although they fell just short of the team
victory, special recognition goes out to #3 Singles Juan Tafolla, who dominated his opponent from start to finish, while #1
Doubles Jacob Loy & Fernando Moncloa shut-out their opponents, 6-0 in the first set, before finishing them off 7-6 in
the 2nd. Also, #2 Doubles, Andres Suarez & Jonathan Melgar fought back hard from a disappointing
1st-set loss, by easily taking the match 6-2, 6-1 in the remaining two sets.
Junior Varsity
In JV action, the team’s current 41-game unbeaten streak
was, once again, in danger of being broken. However, after Ignacio Torres & Gerry Mendoza won their
match 8-6, it was Hernan Suarez & Justin Garcia who, once again, kept the streak intact, with an impressive 8-2 win.
Great job Pilots!
